Elroy Sailor

Elroy Sailor, CEO, Watts Partners

Mr. Elroy P. Sailor has a 30-year track record of success in government, private business and corporate consulting where he has represented major national retailers, sports organizations, Fortune 500 companies and foreign governments. He is Co-founder and served in both capacities as CEO and President of J.C. Watts Companies, a multi-industry business headquartered in Washington D.C. In 2005, Elroy led the investment team which acquired two John Deere dealerships making both he and former Congressman J.C. Watts the first African-Americans to own an authorized dealer in John Deere’s history.

Prior to becoming an accomplished businessman Elroy served thirteen years in various leadership positions throughout the federal and state governments. As Director of Urban Affairs, Governor’s Office, Elroy managed urban development policy; as an Advisor, to a U.S. Senator, he led transportation, housing and economic development policy; as Deputy Chief of Staff, U.S .House of Representatives Leadership Office, Elroy managed and developed the Five Point Urban Initiative and served as a liaison to the White House, Members of Congress, Governors and Mayors. To include serving as an advisor on a U.S. Presidential campaign and a transition team.

Elroy also gained extensive experience in managing international relations. Highlights of his international work includes leading a senior U.S. Congressional staff delegation to Botswana; an appointment by the U.S. State Department to serve as a U.S. Advisor to the African Development Bank Annual Summit in Ethiopia; directing two official Congressional delegations to Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, Morocco and Senegal that included over thirty U.S. corporate leaders.

Elroy is a proud graduate of Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia where he was admitted at 16 years of age. He is also a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP), Michigan State University.
